Boi(se) did you surprise me!
A few months ago, I was asked to facilitate a program in Boise, Idaho. I’d never been to Idaho before so, why not go! I love to hike and explore so I made sure I had done research on trails and parks. I made a tentative plan but it didn’t go at all like I had expected. Surprise…. it was way better. I flew out extremely early from MSP. My taxi driver, aka my dad, picked me up before 3:30 am! The MSP airport is extremely easy to navigate so I made it to my gate with no issues! I boarded my United flight and took a nap while we jetted through the sky. When I arrived in Boise, I quickly got my rental car through Budget and was off to my first destination. I drove through the Boise National Forest and it took my breath away. You couldn’t even tell where the mountains met the Heavens. I drove 3 hours to Sawtooth National Park only to find out from the park ranger that the trails were closed to hikers but I could ski or snowshoe. I left both my ski...
